Microsoft Releases Hub Keyboard for Android

Redmond on Monday released Hub Keyboard, a free Android app that helps "you stay in context past bringing data from different services to your fingertips and help complete your tasks faster." Hub Keyboard, for case, lets yous easily search for documents, contacts, paste recently copied items, and translate what you type—right from your keyboard.

You can go back to a history of clips you've copied, search for and share document links from OneDrive and SharePoint, easily insert a person's contact information, and fifty-fifty interpret what you lot're writing into another linguistic communication.

"It is a hub of different extensions, and is designed to assistance you save fourth dimension and be present in the application yous are using," Microsoft said.

The app is available in English for those in the U.S., but Microsoft said it's working on supporting more languages and countries in the future. On Google Play, some users have complained that it lacks basic keyboard features like autocorrect and word prediction.

Hub Keyboard is the latest app to emerge from The Garage, Redmond's programme focused on experimentation and grassroots projects. Other recent Garage apps include Fetch!, which recognizes dogs and classifies them past their breed (and likewise hilariously tells you what blazon of dog you resemble), and News Pro, which is similar to Flipboard and Apple tree News, but aims to set itself autonomously by providing updates related to your job.
